FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT CAN THERAPY DO FOR ME?
Making the decision to begin therapy can be difficult. It can be helpful to ask yourself the following questions:
Are you able to dedicate time to yourself on a weekly basis?
Are you feeling overwhelmed and/or having increased anxiety?
Do you put other people above your own wellbeing?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may benefit from dedicating time each week to yourself. Therapy will assist you with exploring the complex feelings that may arise from taking care of others. In addition, therapy can assist with navigating coping strategies, setting boundaries, and processing grief.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURINGÂ THERAPY?
The process begins with a free 15 minute consult to discuss what is bringing you to explore therapy, and what you would like to get out of it. After the consult if you and I feel it will be beneficial to move forward, you will be sent a packet virtually to review and sign. These consist of consents for treatment, privacy practices, and practice policies, as well as questionnaires to get to know you better.

During the intake we will spend an hour discussing your stressors, self-care, and goals. As your therapist I will work with you to identify steps to work towards your goals, which allow us to measure progress and make adjustments as needed. Everyone is different and it is important that your care is catered to you. Once the intake has been completed, you will either be accepted as a client, or provided with a referral for a therapist that may better cater to your individual needs. Your care is my top priority.
